Description
IGF-1 LR3 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1, Long Arginine-3) is a recombinant 83-amino-acid analog of human IGF-1 with substitution and extension modifications that significantly extend its half-life by reducing IGFBP binding. IGF-1 LR3 binds to the IGF-1 receptor and is one of the most-used research peptides in cellular growth, protein synthesis, and mitogenic pathway studies.
The LR3 modification gives IGF-1 LR3 a substantially longer functional half-life than native IGF-1, making it a valuable tool for sustained IGF-1 receptor research.
